Caley 18 month check-up

Caley 18 month stats:

weight - 22lbs, 8 oz ( 25th percentile)

height -  32 1/2"  (75th percentile)

Caley 15 month check-up

Caley had her 15 month check up today. She was walking and chatting and playing with everything in site including practicing climbing on and off of a chair. She didn't stop moving for a second! The dr kept saying, "she really is quite the gymnast".

She is doing great and hitting her milestones.

Her stats:   20lbs, 2 oz   (10th %ile)  & 31"  (between 50-75th %ile)

She has changed a lot lately. Her new favorite activities include coloring with markers, playing with play-doh (and eating it some) and dance parties!

Taylor 3 year stats

It comes as no surprise that taylor is still built like spaghetti.

at 30 lbs and 39" she is in the 90th %ile for her height, but only the 5th %ile for weight to height. Not in the least bit surprised!

Doctor said she is doing great and despite her numbers charting like she's a starving child she looks great. No shots today, hooray! We go back in a year.

Caley had her one year check-up today. Dr said she looks great, but she is kind of tiny! His exact words were, she is very small, but built like a gymnast! He said that developmentally she is hitting 15 month milestones, so that is terrific! She didn't sit still for a second. He was very impressed with how well she walks and "talks" and of course all of her smiling (this was of course prior to getting 4 shots!)

Her stats:
19 lbs, 4 ounces - 10th%ile     &     29"  - 50th %ile
weight for length - 25th %ile

Taylor 2 1/2 year check-up

Taylor had her 2 1/2 yr check-up today (a month late because i forgot to make one, oops!)
and she is looking great (but you knew that!)  ;)

She weighed in at 28 lbs, 5 oz (approx 40th %ile) and 37.5" (approx 85th %ile)
weight for length: 10th% ile

I'm pretty sure her weight gain is directly related to all the chocolate she's been getting as part of our potty training bribe. It must be working though because she wears big girl undies now and rarely has an accident, and when she does it during nap time. She isn't 100% potty trained as she still wakes up in the morning with a wet diaper, but we are well on our way!!

The doctor was impressed by Taylor's manners and her huge vocabulary. She was also very impressed with the circus act Caley was performing and how Taylor would say things like, "not now Caley".

I'm a little sad to say, she is definitely not a baby anymore, but she is loads of a fun and she is a GREAT big sister!

Two Peas in a Pod

Caley had her 6 month check up today. 14.5 lbs (25%ile) and 26"(50%ile)... she is a peanut, which we already knew.
Taylor's 6 month stats were... 14 lbs 5 oz & 26.5". These babes are 2 peas in a pod!

first supper

Caley had her 4 month check-up last week. We were very surprised to hear that she was only 12 lbs, 8 oz  as we thought she was a chunky monkey! (have you seen her thighs?!?)

Shockingly, her stats were the same as Taylor's 4 month...

12lbs 8 oz and 24" long.  She's sitting around the 25th percentile and officially labeled "petite". We have been instructed to start her on cereal as she isn't gaining "enough" weight due to her level of activity (have you seen her bicycling?!?)

2 months old!

Caley had her 2 month check-up yesterday. She was smiling a ton and did "impressive" tummy time for the doctor.

Her stats:  10lbs 13 oz (approx 50th %ile) and 23" long (75th %ile)
Weight for Length 15th%ile

 

For size comparison, at 2 months Taylor was 10lbs 1 oz and 22"

Patrick and I can't believe how much Caley looks like Taylor at one month!

Caley also had her one month check-up today. 

Her Stats: 9lbs, 8 oz (50th%ile)

                   21 3/4" long (between 50th - 75th %ile)

check up

Caley went for a check-up to make sure she is back at birth weight now and to check on how she is doing overall. Our pediatrician said that she looks great and is gaining weight just as she should be! He is still amazed at how much hair she has (as is everyone!)

Her stats:  7lbs 12 oz so officially past her birth weight (maybe daddy has been sneaking her dessert) and 19 1/2" long

Her weight is in between 25th and 50th percentile and her length is right on the 25th percentile mark.

Taylor 18 month stats

People have been telling me recently that Taylor looks very tall. My exact words, "she's tall, but i don't think off the charts tall or anything..." well, apparently i was wrong... She is off the charts tall...

Here are her 18 month stats:

22 lbs, 9 oz = 20th - 25th %ile
34 3/4" long = over 100th %ile
weight for length = not even in the 1st %ile

I guess we really do have a supermodel on our hands

all grown up

Taylor had her 15 month check-up today. She is basically all grown up now. She loves taking care of her "babies" and mimics all sorts of things... BTW, Who taught her to wear shirts over her shoulders??

Her vocabulary includes, mommy, daddy, apple, baby, doggie, duck, up, hi, bye, thanks, ball and blue... and we think she has been saying "uh oh", but not totally sure. The pediatrician was quite impressed with her extensive vocabulary, her walking skills, that she is now nodding yes and shaking her head no, and how well she understands commands; however... he is not impressed with her inability to gain weight. UH OH is right.

Her Stats: 

Height: 32" (90th %ile)

Weight: 20 lbs, 2 oz (5th %ile)

Weight for Height: dum dum dum... off the charts small

Doctors orders to try and get this babe to drink 18oz of whole milk per day. Hopefully we can get some weight on this girl! (we followed up our doctor's appointment with a trip to Friendly's!)

Taylor had to have a check-up today due to her re-occuring double ear infections. We are happy to report that she is ear infection free! FINALLY!

Also happy to report that this baby is gaining some weight! She is 11 months (and 2 days) old.

Weight for length 5th %ile... (She was only in the 1st %ile at her 9 month. We are making great progress!)

she is a peanut

not so little anymore...

Today, Taylor is 5 months old... No idea where the time has gone! She seems like such a big girl to us now that she can do things herself... like grab for her toys, bounce ferociously, put her binky in her mouth... you get the point :)
She is also eating one meal a day now... kind of. Ok, i should re-phrase that. She is offered a "solid food" meal once a day, and sometimes she flat out refuses to even have one bite. We are still trying to get the hang of things, and they are very small meals, but so far she has tried plain rice cereal, rice cereal and applesauce mixed together, and rice cereal with pears... she definitely prefers pears over apples! I must admit, i do too.
