weekend fun

We had a great weekend! Mom and Melissa came up for the weekend and the weather was perfect! Pat was able to get some house stuff done that he wanted, and we were able to enjoy the lovely weather. We had fun at the playground, early morning coloring sessions, yummy Mexican for lunch, a little bit of shopping :) and i was able to plant flowers in the garden / re-pot plants for the porch (retreat!). Lots of eating outside... and reading too! Like i said, we had a great weekend :)

 "Oh no, Taylor what's wrong??"
Just Kidding!

The porch is getting there!

Easter Morning

Easter morning was a lot more eventful this year than it had been last year (when Taylor was only 4 months old!) It included a couple of firsts: such as walking around during church (she got bored after the 1st hour!) and having a mini meltdown which equalled hurrying to the back of the church where there was a baby-palooza going on, her first chocolate bunny (at 11am mind you), and an Easter egg hunt. Of course with all of this business happening, she still found time to love Sampson (who i think was hiding from her).

all grown up

Taylor had her 15 month check-up today. She is basically all grown up now. She loves taking care of her "babies" and mimics all sorts of things... BTW, Who taught her to wear shirts over her shoulders??

Her vocabulary includes, mommy, daddy, apple, baby, doggie, duck, up, hi, bye, thanks, ball and blue... and we think she has been saying "uh oh", but not totally sure. The pediatrician was quite impressed with her extensive vocabulary, her walking skills, that she is now nodding yes and shaking her head no, and how well she understands commands; however... he is not impressed with her inability to gain weight. UH OH is right.

Her Stats:
Height: 32" (90th %ile)
Weight: 20 lbs, 2 oz (5th %ile)
Weight for Height: dum dum dum... off the charts small

Doctors orders to try and get this babe to drink 18oz of whole milk per day. Hopefully we can get some weight on this girl! (we followed up our doctor's appointment with a trip to Friendly's!)

peanut butter, mmm mmm!

Taylor has recently discovered how yummy peanut butter is... and she can't get enough! She likes to eat peanut butter sandwiches, but she also likes to scoop the peanut butter out with her finger and then lick it... makes for quite the messy breakfast, but at least she is having fun!
