Happy Birthday Omi

This weekend we threw a surprise party to celebrate Omi turning the big 60! It was hard work keeping the secret, making sure she didn't suspect anything while also trying to make sure we didn't over-kill our lack of excitement (her birthday was on Wed) but we didn't get to talk to her or mail a card... It was a great day for a party and i think everyone had fun. I know we did.

day 4

on day 4 of Patrick away... given the never-ending snow, and a mommy who is ready to lose her mind, i gave in and said "ok watch as much tv as you want!"

at least they are quiet and sharing a snack nicely...

Patrick is away this week (he left Sunday and won't be back until Fri night) so we celebrated his birthday last Saturday. Because it was a very last minute decision (as i had a whole special dinner planned for his actual birth date) there are no birthday "decorations" and the special dinner is postponed, but we did sing to him with a batch of brownies because Taylor was very upset that daddy was going away for the week.
