happy daddy is home!

Patrick was away from Mon (before the girls woke up) to Thurs. and the girls were very upset about it, Taylor especially. Taylor kept talking about how she wanted to make blueberry pancakes, but we needed daddy to come home first, so of course this morning we made oatmeal and blueberry pancakes. delish! :)

The girls are VERY happy that daddy is home. Mommy is also very happy :)

Dreyfus also got his summer hair cut yesterday...

early morning tea

It has been so hot and muggy this week that we haven't been playing outside as much as we like to. When Taylor suggested a tea party Friday morning, and it was only 70 at the time, we jumped on it! Taylor was very sweet about trying to serve Caley tea, but Caley seemed a little confused about the "pretend" part.

We have 5 packs of flash cards. They used to be separated and Taylor liked to use them for learning / practicing colors, shapes, numbers, letters, etc. Well, now they have been combined into one jumbo set (who knows how many have been lost) and Taylor and Caley pretend to have a very serious teacher / student learning session going on, although i'm not sure how good of an education it is.

Our 2nd beach day we went to Roger Wheeler state beach which is very child friendly, and the girls could not get enough of the water!!! It was a very fun (and exhausting in a good way) day!

Taylor LOVED all the boats. Her favorite was a red one that looked like a pirate ship.
