There is no denying - Taylor is definitely her own person! As she fast approaches 2 years old, she has started doing and saying some very funny, sweet, and unfortunately frustrating things.
She has been really great about helping with Caley. Her new thing is that she likes to take care of ALL of us and that includes always making sure that we have a blanket while laying on the couch. If she finds anyone on the couch sans blanket, she will immediately find a blanket (or burp cloth) give it to you and say "blanket on". She also has some key phrases when Caley is crying, which are usually "I know Caley, I know" or, "It's okaaaaaaay" she then caresses Caley's face with the back of her hand...
Although Taylor is still sleeping on her floor, she is letting us go through the normal bedtime routine and goes into bed without a fight, she just doesn't stay there. We think it's really cute that when she is pretend playing she now does the bed time routine with her baby doll. (she reads her baby a book and then holds her in her arms swaying and sings "good night taylor" song.)
A VERY new thing is that Taylor always asks for coffee to drink. This was a conversation with Taylor this past weekend:
me: taylor, do you want milk or water?
taylor: coffee
me: oooh k... do you want pancakes for breakfast?
taylor: noooo... ice cream
me: you can't have ice cream for breakfast... do you want pancakes?
taylor: no... chocolate...
She is certainly coming into her own. She has very specific opinions and a creative sense of humor. This was how i found her yesterday (when she was supposed to be taking a nap!)
Lol, thats so cute.... Just wait 1 more year and she will be scooping herself ice cream for breakfast like her big cousin!
