more easter baskets

if you ask Taylor, Easter is about getting baskets... I explained to her that its about much more and she said, "But also really about baskets of candy..."

taylor in charge

So... this morning i left the girls in the living room for all of 2.5 minutes, and came to find a naked Caley. Why was she naked you ask? Because Taylor decided that she is now responsible for getting both she and Caley dressed... Ok, "fine".

So Taylor picked out both of their outfits and she did a great job (she has been choosing surprising well matching outfits lately). She then insisted on a photo op.

The girls had also had a little fight earlier this morning, so Taylor decided they needed a "hug make up".

for mother's day i want...

For mother's day i want a white dogwood... which changed into "a bunch of plants for the dining room" which i ended up buying myself and then became a massage.... and lastly (about a week ago) became a simple spot to sit and relax.... which THEN became a full blown patio! :)

In 9 days time...

Sun. April 13, finished
(fire pit is on it's way - that part is actually early father's day for pat)

Saturday April 12, around noon
(and to clarify, i was helping Pat - Taylor was not doing any manual labor)

Saturday April 13th, 10am - Sand down and leveled

Thurs April 10 - 9:45pm, rock wall done (we are exhausted and sore!!!!)

Wed, April 9 - Dug out, "let's do this!"

Friday, April 4th text to Pat around 3pm,
"Hmmm, i think i need a relaxing seating area out here"

Easter Part 1

...Or "Feaster" as we're calling it, at Omi & Poppy's on Saturday, was a great time. The girls were excited to get dressed up (Taylor is always wearing dresses, but she was excited for Caley to wear one too).

We have been reading Easter themed books recently, so when we told Taylor we were going to Omi's for an early Easter she kept asking, "will there be baskets?!?!?"
Luckily, there were :)

Caley had her first piece of chocolate, which i didn't get a picture of because she wouldn't let me get close to her (for fear i might take this new "goodie" away, i assume)

Caley was a little concerned that she wasn't going to get a cupcake... she actually started eating a wrapper while waiting for hers...

She didn't eat much real food, but she sure loved the cupcake! Hopefully it had all the calories she needed for the day :)
